General Regulations

At Oxford English School, we uphold discipline, responsibility, and respect to create an environment that fosters learning and personal growth. Every student is expected to adhere to the following guidelines to maintain order, harmony, and academic excellence.


  • Every student must carry their school diary daily to note down homework, assignments, and important instructions from teachers.
  • Students must always be decent, courteous, and polite, whether in the classroom or anywhere within the school premises.
  • Discipline and order must be maintained during morning prayers, assemblies, and all school functions.
  • Leaving the school premises during school hours or lunch breaks without the principal’s permission is strictly prohibited.
  • Students must respect and maintain the cleanliness of the school environment and take responsibility for keeping it neat and tidy.
  • English is the official medium of communication within the school premises, and students must strictly adhere to this rule.
  • Students are responsible for their personal belongings, and the school is not liable for lost items, including books, money, or jewelry.
  • Scribbling on books, desks, and walls is strictly forbidden and will result in fines or disciplinary action.
  • Running, playing, or shouting inside the classrooms or school corridors is not allowed.
  • Regular attendance and timely completion of homework are mandatory. Any negligence in academics will be taken seriously.
  • Disobedience, disrespect towards staff, or repeated violation of school rules may lead to disciplinary action, including suspension or dismissal if warnings are ignored.
  • Acts of immorality, misconduct, insubordination, or deliberate damage to school property will result in strict disciplinary measures, including immediate dismissal.
  • Any damage caused to school property must be reported immediately to the class teacher or principal, and the responsible student will bear the cost of repairs.
  • Letters addressed to students through the school are subject to scrutiny by the principal.
  • Unit tests, assignments, and examinations are mandatory for all students. Absence from tests or exams without a valid reason will not warrant a re-test or re-examination.
